CARR Annual Breakfast Meeting

Hi Everyone!
CARR is holding their Annual Breakfast Meeting Sat. May 20th. The two 2005 Scholarship Winners are presenting. One of the topics that is being discussed is "Technology: Changing Reading and Language Arts in the Classroom." This seminar may be more worthwhile than the one some of us attended in March. I will bring the information to class this Thursday for anyone who is interested.

So ladies what did you think of the CARR meeting? I was very suprised. I am a member of CARR and attend many of their conferences. I feel most of their seminars are worthwhile. However, I was very disappointed with this one. I was hoping to learn more about how to incorporate technology into the classroom. Instead, we have a Harvard graduate marketing a reading program. Really! I definitely thinks she was speaking to the WRONG audience. I would love to hear your opinion.

Computer Concerns

Hi everyone,
I am looking forward to learning new concepts that I can apply in my classroom through the use of technology. I am computer stupid and I am hoping to become more comfortable with using technology in my classroom. But then again that may never happen since my classroom computer does not work. I am hoping that it will get repaired before this course ends so that I can eventually share my discoveries with my students.
